8. STONEFISH
Stonefish is a highly dangerous fish that has some spikes that can stab any foot that walks near them. Man! That was creeps me out a little bit! Well bad news, that's not all. Every spike has a deadly venom in it and it even can kill a shark! And you think you'll be really stupid if you manage to step on them without seeing them at first. Well, you can't find a large spiky rock-shaped moving creature in the middle of beauty-colored, spiky, tube-shaped, plant-like, slow-growing, vulnerable, and beautiful coral when you scuba diving aren't you? Well I'm not. Because of it rocky, ugly, spiky, and weird appearance, I put these guys on the tenth of the list.
7. OCEAN SUNFISH
Are these aliens or just me? Well I know its not an alien at all, these guys are ocean sunfish, an alien-like fish. In the sea, this fish known as jellyfish vacuum, because they'll eat any kind of jellyfish that fits to its mouth, including The Box. This fish looks like it didn't have any tail because it swims slowly and their tail look like half a pancake. Sunfish can't close their mouth so this fish are probably ancient, or from space.
6. BARRELEYE
I seriously, unbelievably, and stupidly cannot even BELIEVE if a fish like this exists. This fish is super cool! (exept for people that think its weird or gross). Well, the first time you see this fish maybe think two white dots on top of it mouth its their eyes (which is happen to me when the first time I see this fish too), and just like other people that does think like that when they see this fish in the first time, you wrong. The two brainlike green balls on their head were actually their EYES, and two white dots on top of it mouth is their NOSE. This is unbelievably weird!
5. GOBLIN SHARK
Now this guy is the king of sharks (in a weirdness championship) that lurks to number 5 on this list. Just like it name, these guys DOES looks like goblin in a form of a fish then lost in the deep ocean. From its look, this shark may looks like its ready to wreck the inside of a scuba diver but actually, this shark live in the dark of the deep undersea with anglerfishes and viperfishes. Well it still weird right?
4. FOOTBALL FISH
Football! Is a great game for dodging other people to take the rugby ball! Well thats not what I think about. Footballs are fish that also live in the dark with the angler and the appearance also looks like an anglerfish ( but have a more roundish body). Well just like the anglerfish, these guys use angler lamp to lure their prey. This fish still one family with the anglerfish but a lot bigger (and fatter).
3. RED LIPPED BATFISH
Who the heck is this! This fish looks ready to kiss someone! Yuck! And what are those stuff under the fish's body! ARE THOSE LEGS!?!! Well, this fish got everything weird got weird fin, weird nose, but mostly, weird mouth, or should I say weird lips.
2. ANGLERFISH
Now, the next freakingly ugly fish is the legendary anglerfish. Not only the face ugly, the mating ritual also weird! The males sticks to the female by biting the female in the body with a permanent bite that he never let go and the female just take his sperm and left him alone still sticking on her body while the female lay eggs in the chosen place. There are thousands species of anglerfish and also includes footballfish and the freakiest of all is the wolf-trap anglerfish that the body shape is different and weirder than the other anglerfish. Second place isn't bad, but first place is a lot better, and uglier.
1. BLOBFISH
Now this guy is the champion of all ugly contest, the Blobfish. This guy is from the family of sculpin, one of the fish family that ugly fish produced ( only around 2 ugly sculpins know the Blobfish, and the Blob Sculpin). Even tough it looks weird, but if it placed under the sea, near the ocean floor, this fish dont look like this ugly guy because of the water pressure of the deep ocean. This fish beat many opponent of ugliness in this list even from the mighty anglerfish family. Oh, and also if you put this fish in the normal pressured water, its swimbladder will broken.
